The Clientele still make gauzy, English guitar pop to accompany rainy days and barely concealed heartbreak, but they've tightened up their focus and have lifted the energy level up a notch. They also bring in new instruments and (mellow) psychedelic production ideas to the mix, with an able assist from Louis Philippe's string section. Lovely.
