The Introduction of Marcus Cooper de Pleasure P

Pleasure P releases his debut solo album after leaving boy group Pretty Ricky. He has a nice voice, though the counterpoint and harmonies provided in a group setting is sorely missed here. The songs are pure pop soul fantasies and meditations on forgiveness and moral relativism. The undeniably catchy "Boyfriend #2" celebrates infidelity, while "Did You Wrong" attacks those who are "hatin' on people's relationships," and posits that "you gotta be the one who's gonna sit by your mate and say, 'I'm going to be with you no matter what.'" He's not exactly Dr. Phil, but the album is enjoyable.
