On this intimate recording, the tenor pays homage to Mediterranean culture through well-known songs, expressively performed in a variety of languages. Domingo opens dramatically with Joan Manuel Serrat's "Mediterráneo," accented by flamenco guitar. He shifts to a softer mood on the Italian "Estate" (popularized by Joao Gilberto), followed by Georges Moustaki's "En Méditerranée." Classical repertoire -- a version of "Concierto de Aranjuez" and the French standard "Plaisir D'Amour" -- are included on this very seductive set. All that's missing is a glass of wine and a view of the sea
