Yacht-rocking piano man Phil Vassar gives his fifth album a big-top motif, but concentrates on florid ballads loaded with reassuring bromides. He's most fun when he speeds up a bit, talking in rap-like rhythm, trekking to Tequila Town with working stiffs, and especially ba-ba-ba-ing "Barbara Ann"-style while chortling country's greatest tranny anthem since Moe and Joe's "Where's the Dress" in "Bobbi With an I," about a cross-dressing linebacker who drinks cheap on ladies' night. By album's end, he's waving to Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder, wondering where all the other piano men went.
