From the double-tracked psychedelia of "Walkin' the Boogie" to the trademark stumble of "Sugar Mama," this 1960 release is one of the definitive moments in the history of blues. Just the timbre of Hooker's voice is worth hearing by itself, but his clomping foot and wandering, crazed guitar playing certainly don't hurt.
