Get Out Of My Stations
Originally a seven-inch released in 1994, this 2003 re-issue offers four live bonus tracks, of deep cut fan favorites. As it is, the seven songs on the original wax are among GBV's best, especially heard crammed in sequence and all over in 10 minutes. The release includes a totally confused Who cover ("Mobile"), an opening paean to alcoholic failure that rivals "A Salty Salute," and "Blue Moon Fruit," which has one of the band's best ever half-riffs coupled with a monumental Pollard melody line that cuts off about 5 seconds after it starts. Excellent. Folks who prefer their later stuff can check out "Dusty Bushworms."
