Man Of Constant Sorrow
Label: Resurfaced Records
Dylan's debut contains just two original songs, "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody" (an especially astute title given that this album works as a song to Woody Guthrie). Taking Guthrie's "talking blues" style, Dylan covers a few trad-folk numbers and dips into some country blues. Musically, it's a fine effort, but it's Dylan's raspy phrasing that keeps you.
